Treatment of Strain/Sprain & Subluxations
A female patient, age 44, experienced a nasty auto accident in 2006. As a result, she suffered from strain sprains located in the neck and spine. She had also been diagnosed with sublimations in her spine (both hips and neck). She had severe pain (8 out of 10). Sitting increase the pain level (particularly at work).
Dr. Rood applied a combined program composed of trigger point therapy, massage (mechanical massage machine called Thumper) and supplements (magnesium to calm down muscle spasm). The treatment was provided twice a week (for the first 4 weeks) and once a month thereafter. The complete treatment program ended after two years and two month (8/2006-10/2008).
The outcome made the patient very happy. The pain level had been greatly reduced (2 out of 10). The range of motion had been extended back to almost normal. The results were sustained (until the patient had another accident falling into a gofer whole which flared up her right hip).
