Bishara Wilson, L.Ac. is the owner of New York Sports Acupuncture, P.C. and a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). He has a BA degree from Wesleyan University, CT, and holds a Bachelor of Professional Studies and a Master of Science degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine.

He is also a New York State licensed Acupuncturist, and is board certified (NCCAOM) in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.

His training in Traditional Chinese Medicine also includes: Tui Na Massage, Cupping, Moxibustion, Diet Therapy and Qi Gong Meditation. He is also a Rei Ki Master level practitioner.

Bishara has traveled the world, studying with master teachers in China, Tibet, Senegal, the Gambia and Ghana. He is also an initiate of the Long Men (Dragon Gate) Daoist brotherhood in China.
He has been studying Traditional Chinese Medicine for over eleven years and has had a private professional practice for eight years. At New York Sports Acupuncture, you will be educated about and receive treatment according to your individual body constitution.
As an athlete, Bishara has also had his share of bumps and bruises, strains and sprains.

Since his high school years at Poly Prep in Brooklyn, NY, Bishara has proved to be a very competitive athlete.

While in high school, Bishara was:

Captain and two-time MVP of the Cross Country team
Captain and MVP of the Track & Field Team
Ivy League Gold Medalist in the Long Jump, Triple Jump and Pole Vault
New York State Private School Champion Wrestler- 125lb weight class
Ivy League Wrestling Champion and MVP of tournament- 125 lbs weight class
National Private School Wrestling Tournament- 8th place

He continued competing on the collegiate level, running Track and Field at Wesleyan University, CT.

At Wesleyan U., he was;
Co-Captain and MVP of both the Winter and Spring Track teams
"All New England,” placing third in the Triple Jump and Long Jump

In college he also began to study and practice Qi Gong meditation forms. This led to his interest and in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

After college, he began to train martial arts, studying the African Martial Arts style called Kupigani Ngumi and also full-combat fighting.
