Grace is an American and Chinese-trained Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She is also the owner of Acupuncture With Grace, a holistic acupuncture located in Alameda, and serving extending areas of Oakland, Emeryville, Berkeley, El Cerrito, Albany, Hayward, and San Leandro.

Grace is a Board-Certified California and National Licensed Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She received her Masters Degree at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego. Upon graduation, she attended Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Sichuan Province, China for extended training in Gastroenterology, Dermatology, and Cardiology. She participated in grand rounds with the doctors there, learning firsthand the sophisticated application of both acupuncture and herbs as is done in China. Grace stays ahead in her profession through continuing education programs with other renowned acupuncturists: Jeffrey Yuen, Kiiko Matsumoto and Steven Alpern. In 2010, she moved up to the Bay area and opened her own practice in Oakland.

Grace has grown up with Chinese Medicine in her home as far as she can remember. Herbal plasters, tea decoctions, cupping and moxibustion were the first choice of remedy for injuries and common ailments. In 1999, Grace sought the help of an acupuncturist for a recurring digestive complaint that eventually spiraled into a systemic problem. So overjoyed was she by the dramatic recovery in her health that she promptly dropped her Public Relations career and rededicated her life’s mission to sharing this powerful medicine with others. She focuses most of her interest in treating digestive ailments, including disorders related to poor digestion such as allergies, arthritis, weight problems, and mental/emotional issues.

Grace strives to empower her patients with the right tools for achieving health by providing cultural insights and education in Eastern dietary principles, exercise, breathing techniques and lots of encouragement! Grace enjoys working most with patients who are committed to regular preventative care in addition to making healthy lifestyle choices. She has traveled extensively and lectured all over Europe, South America, and the Caribbean in such topics as Acupuncture, Chinese Herbology and Nutrition, Weight Loss, and Pain Management.
