Successful Treatment for Disc Herniation/Back Pain
A female patient, 27 years old, came for treatment in September 2011. She had suffered from a herniated disc in her lower back for many years including severe and permanent pain travelling down the left leg (9 out of 10). The injury resulted from a work accident. The MD had prescribed muscle relaxants and anti-inflammatory during the previous two years. It produced little relief.
A combined treatment program consisting of chiropractic adjustments, decompression therapy, acupuncture and herbal remedies has been applied for 6 sessions (2 times a week) so far (ongoing treatment expected to last for another few weeks). The sessions last 30 minutes each. Preventative maintenance will most likely be implemented upon completion of the treatment (once a month).
The results have been promising so far as the symptoms have been reduced by 90%. The patient is able to work again without any restrictions.
